Marieke (she/they) is a THW certified doula for Eugene Birth Doula, providing birth doula service for home births, birth center births, and labor and delivery births, as well as education and support before and after birthing. She is an Alexander Technique teacher with a hands-on approach to body mechanics for a smoother and easier birthing experience.. She trained with DONA International and Spinning Babies. She welcomes all family styles and cultures, and is LGBTQA+ friendly. She supports births in Lane, Douglas, and Multnomah counties in Oregon.

THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE for Birthing
The Alexander Technique is a gentle, hands-on somatic practice that can help a birthing person re-balance as their pregnancy advances (reducing stress on backs, knees and feet), improve awareness of coordination for labor and delivery; and speed recovery afterwards. Especially valuable for home births.
SPINNING BABIES
The Spinning Babies program provides techniques for relaxation in early labor and to help baby descend in active labor and pushing. Marieke will introduce Spinning Babies to you during your prenatal appointments.
