Marieke (she/they) is a THW certified birth doula, providing education and support for home births, birth center births, and hospital births. She is an Alexander Technique teacher with a hands-on approach to learning body awareness for an embodied and empowering birthing experience.. Marieke trained with DONA International and Spinning Babies. She welcomes all family styles and cultures, and is LGBTQA+ friendly. She supports births throughout Oregon.

THE ALEXANDER TECHNIQUE for Birthing
The Alexander Technique is a gentle, hands-on somatic practice that can help a birthing person re-balance as their pregnancy advances (reducing stress on backs, knees and feet), improve awareness of coordination for labor and delivery; and speed recovery afterwards. Especially valuable for home births.
SPINNING BABIES
The Spinning Babies program provides techniques for relaxation in early labor and to help baby descend in active labor and pushing. Marieke will introduce Spinning Babies to you during your prenatal appointments.
